Vyborg is a town in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It was built in the Middle Ages by Swedish empire. It has changed authorities several times in history, most recently in 1944 when it was won by the Soviet Union from Finland during World War II.
Major attractions: unique monuments of military architecture dating from 13th to 18th century, the authentic medieval spirit of the Old Town, magnificent landscape park Montrepos with a 19th century estate.
