The Great Imperial Crown and the Imperial Orb of Russia. Both were made for Catherine the Great’s coronation in 1762; they’re visible on her right in this portrait by Alexei Antropov. The spinel atop the Crown weighs almost 400 carats; that’s a 47-carat sapphire crowning the Orb.
